So John McCain picks a governor of Alaska who is two years into her term with absolutely no real national or worldwide experience and credentials. And to top it off, he chooses Dayton, Ohio to announce this illustrious choice and to rally the party faithful. Hmm. Maybe McCain doesn't know that Dayton and other cities in Ohio have suffered severely under the policies of the Bush admininstration who he says he supports 90% of the time. Job out-sourcing, a health care system in shambles, predatory lending practices, record gas prices, record home foreclosures, not to mention the Iraq war with as of this writing 4,151 United States soldiers dead.
Maybe the choice of Sarah Palin will quell the right-wing of the Republican party who, for the most part, despise McCain. I think it interesting to note that many of these religious fundamentalists will vote for a woman to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency but refuse her ordination or recognition in their churches. McCain's 'hail-mary' pass in this choice may be all he's got to deliver. All I know about Sarah Palin so far is that she's a hunter, a hockey mom, and a 'social conservative.' Translation: Four more years of the last eight. I am inspired beyond words.
